Xanthosoma violaceum
Schott 1853
This plant grows to about 1.2 m in height. The petioles and the bottom side of leaves are violet.
View of a mature plant.
A juvenile leaf.
In 2004 I got one small plant
from the Botanic garden in Wroclaw.
It must have grown in deep shadow,
because the bottom side of the leaves
was green and should be violet.
A few months later the leaves had right colours.
