Piptospatha ridleyi

N. E. Brown 1894

Bought as an Aglaonema in an aquaristic plant.

Must have been grown long underwater, because the petioles could not hold the blades
so I had to lay the plant to take photos.

The veins on the bottom side of the leaves are copper-red, the petioles too.
If you can confirm the id of this plant mail to me (pipt ridl).

A few weeks later I bought another specimen
smaller, with no red venation
but it's the same species.
And again bought as aquatic, it didn't accomodate to the emerse culture.
And in the aquarium it grew slowly and slowly died.
