Pinellia

Tenore 1839

A non-blooming Pinellia may be taken as an Arisaema.
The female part of spadix is fused to the spathe, and the spadix has usually a long tail-shaped appendix.
The genus belongs to the subfamily Aroideae, tribe Arisaemataceae.
There are about 8-10 species in the genus.
