VescHort came into being when I bought a garden in 1999. Initially it was named Hortus Floristicus Veschoviensis. It's my own enterprise, yet I've been collecting pot plants from the Araceae family since 1996. My first ones were: Zantedeschia aethiopica, Monstera deliciosa and Spathiphyllum 'Mauna Loa'. It confirms the thought that's never too late to begin. Since then till 2004 I've had about 70 different plants. Now I want to show all them here together with other Araceae plants photographed occasionally. When I get permissions I'll publish also photos from books and magazines. I'm going to avoid detailed botanical descriptions, just short notes to the pictures. I won't scan photos from "The Genera Of Araceae" for obvious reasons, rather from sources where Araceae plants are presented among others or even from where it's sometimes hard to find something
interesting for an aroid fan.
