Alocasia reginula 'Black Velvet'

A. Hay 1998

This is a small, about 20 cm cultivar. As the name says, the leaves are almost black and velvety.
The other name of this plant is Alocasia melo sp. nov.

The bottom side of the leaves is purple-brown,
but when there's not enough light it is green.
